Meet Our Occupational Therapists
Emily is an experienced occupational therapist with a passion to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities. She obtained her Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy at University of Sydney in 2009. Emily has provided occupational therapy services to children and adults with physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities and autism, as well as older adults.
Emily specialises in the provision of occupational therapy services to children and adults with physical disabilities. She has a genuine interest in listening to the needs and goals of people and collaborates alongside them to find solutions. She is experienced in assistive technology prescription, pressure care management and manual handling plans. Emily enjoys problem-solving with people to find alternative methods or assistive technology to increase people’s independence in daily activities.
Emily is passionate about inclusion and universal design. She has consulted with TransportNSW on accessible design to enable access to the new Regional Rail trains that are currently being designed. She is a current member of the Parramatta Council Accessible Access Committee, where she volunteers her expertise to advise the council on inclusion of people with disabilities.
When Emily is not working, she tries to spend as much time as possible in the great outdoors with her family, friends and her very curious toddler.
