Sumei Wrigley

Occupational Therapist

Sumei has over 20 years’ experience working as an Occupational Therapist in both acute and rehabilitation settings, within hospitals and communities in both public and private sectors. Sumei has had the privilege of practicing Occupational Therapy in South Africa, England and Australia.

Sumei is a strong advocate for empowerment and she strives to achieve this by working towards making a positive difference to a person’s life by facilitating independence, improving safety and enabling maximum function. She is passionate about what Occupational Therapy offers and strives to add value for each and every one of her clients, whether they are a young adult or a feisty centenarian!  Sumei’s particular area of interest lies in capacity skills-building across all areas of ADLs (activities of daily living), psychosocial disability, manual handling and incorporating nature-based therapy.

Sumei is AHPRA registered and a member of OT Australia. She is FIM accredited and certified to administer and score the MoCA. Sumei maintains her ongoing professional development and regularly attends courses and training to ensure she is equipped to provide best practice for her clients.

Sumei loves tending to her succulents, photography, reading and is occasionally hooked on crochet. She is often putting her walking shoes on to spend time with her husband and 2 children bushwalking in our beautiful national parks. She is also known to obsess over their two neurotic rescue cats!
