Abby Comer
Occupational Therapist
Abby has a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy, qualifying in the UK in 2004. With over 20 years of experience, she has worked as an Occupational Therapist across the UK, New Zealand, and Australia.
Abby has person-centred approach with expertise in neurological and stroke rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury, and progressive neurological conditions. She is passionate about helping people maximise their independence, confidence, and participation in the activities that matter most to them.
Abby is registered with AHPRA, is an OTA member, and FIM accredited. Her clinical experience includes rehabilitation, assistive technology assessment and prescription, home modifications, Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA), Supported Independent Living (SIL) assessments, and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) assessments. She works across a range of funding schemes, including the NDIS, icare, and Aged Care, and enjoys supporting clients to navigate these systems and access the services they need.
Outside of work, Abby is a busy mum of three children and two dogs. She enjoys walking, riding her motorbike, and spending time with family and friends.
