Rachel completed a four-year Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) degree in early 2015 and has since gained experience working in acute care, inpatient and community rehabilitation, across both public and private health sectors in the Central West NSW, Sydney, and London. Since 2020, she has worked extensively within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), supporting participants with diverse needs and goals.
She has developed expertise in Functional Capacity Assessments, skills retraining, Home Modifications, and Assistive Technology prescription, and works with adults living with neurological conditions, neurodiversity, intellectual disability and psychosocial disability.
Her current practice focuses on delivering services to adults requiring functional assessments, NDIS Access assessments, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and Supported Independent Living (SIL) assessments, as well as medico-legal assessments and reporting for ART.
As a registered Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Rachel values working collaboratively with participants, their families, support networks, and the team at Verve OT to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys craft, woodwork, and plant propagation.
