Antoinette Taouil

Occupational Therapist

Antoinette has worked as an occupational therapist for over five years in a range of different clinical caseloads such as inpatient neurology, respiratory, cardio-thoracic and rehabilitation. Antoinette also has experience with physical and cognitive assessment and rehabilitation. Antoinette is passionate about working with people with the goal of providing appropriate and effective support to allow people to live their best life and engage in roles that give them meaning and purpose.

Antoinette has an interest in home modifications and neuro-rehab, and obtained a great understanding of upper limb and self-care retraining post- surgical/neurological injury having worked in an inpatient rehab team. Antoinette has worked in a large state hospital predominantly in an inpatient rehabilitation-based setting, focusing on assisting clients to reach their maximum potential following a hospital stay due to health related issues. Antoinette has a broad understanding of the NSW health system and the impact of a variety of medical conditions on an individual’s function.

Antoinette is an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist. She is FIM accredited and has undertaken further training in the assessment and intervention for upper limb management. Antoinette is committed to ongoing professional development, ensuring current best practice through involvement in training courses and attendance at various conferences. Antoinette is bilingual and is fluent in Arabic. Antoinette is an enthusiastic OT and is always focussed on working on the best practice solution of the client.

In her personal life, Antoinette enjoys spending time with her family and exploring different cuisines. She enjoys cooking, watching Netflix and all things music.
