Verve OT therapists are AHPRA registered and have extensive experience in aged care, disability, workers compensation and CTP settings. Verve OT therapists will see you in the home, community or workplace to assist you to achieve your goals in a setting most relevant to your needs. Our therapists are experienced across a diverse range of service offerings including AT and equipment prescription, minor and major home modifications, ADL and functional assessments.
Verve OT is a registered provider of the National Disability Insurance Scheme for Occupational Therapy services under the Therapeutic Supports registration group.
Meet Our Occupational Therapists
Our Principal OT, Sarah Collison, holds a special interest in home modifications, SIL and SDA. She has significant experience in the preparation of reports to a medico-legal standard, including goals, recommendations and outcomes relevant to equipment, modifications, therapy and housing. Sarah is a member of OT Australia and is an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist. She is FIM accredited and has undertaken further training in the provision of Occupational Therapy assessment for complex home modifications. She is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly engages in training, courses and conferences, to ensure adherence to current best practice.
Sarah has worked as an Occupational Therapist for over 16 years in a broad range of clinical settings including rehabilitation, injury management, health, medico-legal and disability. Having worked as an Occupational Therapist and Case Manager providing OT assessments and intervention for people with complex needs following illness, injury or disability, Sarah has extensive experience in the provision of non-standardised and standardised assessment tools including but not limited to FIM, ABAS-III, Lawton’s, WHODAS 2.0 and CAN’s.
In her personal life, Sarah is a busy mum of three juggling class parenting with school drop offs and pickups. Sarah is also an avid netballer enjoying time on the court with her team the Bella’s!
Jenny is an experienced Occupational Therapist who has worked within multidisciplinary teams in acute and rehabilitation hospital settings and is now enjoying working in the community with people in their own homes. She has specialised qualifications as a driver trained Occupational Therapist.
Candice has worked as an occupational therapist for over a decade. Candice is passionate about unlocking your maximum potential and enjoys working in areas of disability and rehabilitation. Candice works with children and adults assisting them to engage in everyday activities and develop life skills.
Bernadette is a skilled and passionate occupational therapist with over 20 years’ experience in adult disability and multi-trauma rehabilitation. She has extensive experience in working with individuals, families and support teams to facilitate participation and enable independence.
Jo has over 20 years’ clinical experience providing assessment, complex case management and occupational therapy intervention. Jo’s clinical experience includes acquired brain injury, degenerative neurological conditions, chronic pain, complex orthopaedic injuries, amputees, reconditioning and occupational rehabilitation.
Anita has worked as an Occupational Therapist for the past 14 years in a variety of roles including Occupational Rehabilitation to Acute Care, Multi-Trauma Rehabilitation and within the NDIS scheme. Anita holds particular interest in Equipment Prescription, Complex Home Modifications and has a special place in her heart for Aged Care.
Katie has worked with a range of individuals with physical, neurological and/or intellectual disabilities across a range of sectors including workplace rehabilitation, aged care and NDIS. Katie has a passion for keeping people safe and independent in their own homes providing solutions through equipment, environmental modifications, education and training.
Lina is a passionate occupational therapist with over 18 years’ experience in various settings and various insurance schemes. Lina is a highly competent assessor and clinician in areas of ADL assessments, home assessment, workplace, and ergonomic assessments. Lina is focused on working on best practice solutions of the customers.
Allied Health Assistant and Administrator
Sue began working as a Return to Work Consultant in the area of workers compensation and has experience with inpatients and outpatients. Sue has carried out therapy programs in different clinical settings, prescribed equipment and worked with families to holistically care for their loved ones.
Sumei has over 20 years experience working as an Occupational Therapist in both acute and rehabilitation settings in both public and private sectors. Her particular area of interest lies in capacity skills-building across all areas of daily living, psychosocial disability, manual handling and incorporating nature-based therapy.
Alyce has over 10 years clinical experience as an occupational therapist in areas such as occupational rehabilitation, inpatient rehabilitation, community-based rehabilitation within aged care, assisting Dementia client’s to live at home as long as possible, neuro-rehab and an understanding of upper limb rehabilitation post-stroke.
Nivedita has over 17 years of clinical experience working in a variety of multidisciplinary settings such as pediatrics,acute musculoskeletal, neurology and disability. She has experience working with NDIS participants and supported people living with disabilities and their families to achieve their goals.
