Alyce has over 10 years clinical experience as an occupational therapist working in an array of different clinical settings such as occupational rehabilitation, inpatient rehabilitation and community-based rehabilitation within an aged care setting.
Alyce has an interest in neuro-rehab, and obtained a great understanding of upper limb rehabilitation post stroke from working in a rehabilitation hospital. Alyce has spent a number of years working in a large state hospital predominantly in an aged care community-based setting assisting clients to reach their maximum potential following a hospital stay due to falls, stroke, orthopaedic surgery and other health related issues. Alyce also has experience in assisting client’s with Dementia to determine their care needs in order to maintain living at home for as long as possible.
Alyce thoroughly enjoys the community setting as she believes you obtain a greater sense of an individual in the familiarity of their own home and community, to then tailor the interventions to maximise independence and enhance wellbeing more sufficiently.
Alyce is Ahpra accredited and is committed to ongoing professional development regularly attending courses, conferences and webinars.
When Alyce isn’t working she is busy running around after her two active boys. She enjoys weekends away with her family, exploring what our backyard has to offer.
