Candice Fisher

Occupational Therapist

Candice has worked as an occupational therapist for over a decade. Candice obtained her Occupational Therapy degree in South Africa.  Candice is passionate about working with people to unlock their maximum potential and has always enjoyed working in areas of disability and rehabilitation. Candice has experience in a variety of clinical settings including provision of occupational therapy services for both children and adult populations. Since moving to Sydney Candice has worked at both Children’s Hospitals in cerebral palsy, brain injury, orthopaedics, neurology and rehabilitation caseloads. She has also worked in state hospitals with adults so has a broad understanding of the NSW health system and the impact of a variety of medical conditions on an individual’s function.

Candice is enjoying the community element that Verve OT is able to offer their clients. Above providing therapy services in the home, she enjoys assisting people to engage in everyday meaningful activities and develop life skills so that they may be able to live a more independent life. Candice is an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist. She is FIM accredited and has undertaken further training in the assessment and provision of assistive technology and upper limb management. She is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly engages in training, courses and conferences, to ensure adherence to current best practice.

When she’s not working Candice can often be found chasing after her son in the park. She enjoys cooking, exploring different cuisines and traveling with her family.
