Shyam has been working as an Occupational Therapist for the last 6 years. He studied at the University of Sydney, and during that time he worked as a support worker and allied health assistant with a range of patients and clients with various health conditions and cultural backgrounds.
Since graduating in 2018, he has worked in Canberra and Sydney in acute, rehabilitation and aged care services, in both hospital and community settings.
Shyam is AHPRA and FIM accredited, MoCA certified, and is a member of Occupational Therapy Australia. He has attended multiple courses, and continues to seek out professional development opportunities which further his knowledge in areas such as Home Modifications and Assistive Technology. Shyam has a keen interest in working with people with neurological conditions, and improving their quality of life. He enjoys working with clients to help them obtain appropriate equipment and home modifications, to enable them to live better and enjoy their lives.
In his time away from clients and their families, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing Oztag, and exploring the outdoors.
