Ashmita James
Occupational Therapist
Ashmita has studied a Bachelor of Medical Science, majoring in human biological science. With an interest in the human brain and the impacts of neurological conditions on daily functioning, Ashmita furthered her studies by completing a bachelor of Occupational Therapy and has worked in a variety of different roles and settings since 2018. She has experience working in hospitals (rehabilitation, Acute, Geriatric, medical and stroke/neurology) and community settings. In the community space, Ashmita has experience in daily living skills therapy, assistive technology and assisting participants with Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA) and Supported Independent Living (SIL) assessments. She has worked with a range of ages from preschoolers to geriatrics.
Ashmita hold registration with AHPRA and is a member of OT Australia. She has undertaken additional training in home modifications, emotional regulation and cognitive rehabilitation. Ashmita continues to upskill in different areas of Occupational Therapy by completing regular professional development.
When not working, Ashmita enjoys cooking new recipes, gardening, travelling the world and spending time with family and friends.
