Meet Our Occupational Therapists

Jessica Harper

Occupational Therapist

Jess graduated from The University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with Honours Class I. She has worked in the NDIS since 2015, first as a disability support worker, then as an OT.

Jess started her OT career as a paediatric OT in a community NDIS service in Newcastle, NSW. She then moved to Melbourne, VIC, where she worked as community-based OT, working with both children and adults with a broad range of disabilities. Jess has experience with simple and complex equipment prescription, home modifications, SIL/SDA housing reports, OT functional assessments, and developing and implementing capacity building therapy programs.

Jess’ previous roles include a Multidisciplinary Allied Health Team Leader and a Senior Occupational Therapist. Jess has a keen eye for learning, and she frequently seeks out opportunities to broaden her knowledge, skills, and expertise to ensure she provides quality care to her participants. She enjoys being a community OT because it enables her to consider a person’s needs holistically and work in collaboration with participants on what is most important to them.

In her down time, you can find Jess at the beach, on the AFL field or spending time with family and friends.
