Independent toileting is an essential life skill for many of our younger clients. For some it comes easy and for others, it can be a long, stressful and complex journey to toileting success. As clinicians, we are often asked to play an active role in the development of this important life skill. But how do we know where and when to start? Throughout this workshop we will learn about toileting developmental norms, considerations of toileting acquisition stages and how to support the family as a whole through this important goal.
This workshop is targeted towards building your confidence as an OT to supporting younger children 0-12 years to develop independence with toileting.
